Levulan Photodynamic Acne Therapy
A Levulan treatment is a great alternative to taking Accutane. This agressive photoactive peel provides dramatic results for individuals with extensive sun-damage and rough texture of the skin. Levulan Photodynamic treatments are ideal treatments for patients with acne. Levulanic acid is applied to the surface of the skin, which causes the acne to become photosensitive. A blue light treatment follows, which may cause sensations of tingling, stinging, or prickling of the treated lesions. Levulan is typically done is a series of three treatments, although some patients achieve desired results with just one treatment. A few days of down-time will follow a Levulan Photodynamic Acne Treatment, including redness, swelling, scaling and peeling. It is important to stay out of the sun for at least 24 hours after a Levulan treatment.

ClearLight Acne Photoclearing Treatment
ClearLight is a blue-violet light that destroys acne-causing bacteria in the skin. Treatment is administered in a 20 minute session that is similar to being in a tanning bed, although there are no ultraviolet tanning rays. A course of treatments is one per week for four weeks.
SmoothBeam
SmoothBeam acne laser therapy is an effective way to treat acne. This gentle, safe treatment uses a laser to target sebaceous glands in your skin- the root cause of acne. SmoothBeam works by generating heat around the sebaceous glands, creating a mild thermal injury that changes the structure and function of the glands. Five to six treatments at monthly intervals are all that is required to achieve gratifying improvement. Sun exposure should be avoid for two weeks prior to and following a Smoothbeam acne laser therapy treatment.
VBeam
VBeam delivers an intense but gently burst of light into selectively targeted areas of the skin. The light is absorbed by specific blood vessels or melanin pigmented areas in the dermis, depending on the condition being treated. VBeam is a great treatment for acne, redness, freckles, sun-damage, age spots, rosacea, scars, and strechmarks. Most patients notice beneficial results right away. Redness and mild swelling may occur, but usually goes away within a few hours.
